The York County SPCA is currently seeking a part time Animal Care Technician to join our dedicated and caring staff. This role is directly responsible for basic animal husbandry including cleaning and medicating along with providing enrichment for our amazing shelter pets. Animal care experience is preferable and weekend hours are required. Certified Veterinary Technician

The York County SPCA is looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our expanding team! Our organization is a non-profit animal shelter located in York, Pa. We are an open admission shelter and take pride in the care and love we provide to the 7,000 animals we care for on a yearly basis. We also operate a high-volume, low-cost surgical center which performs 7,000 spays and neuters annually.
We are currently looking for a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician with at least two years of experience. We are actively pursuing AAHA accreditation and our ideal candidate would have management experience and/or be able to assist our management team in leading our veterinary staff towards our goal of accreditation.
We believe in a team-oriented approach to patient care. We have a large case load so our ideal candidate should be self-motivated, possess excellent client communication and customer service skills, and have a desire to provide high-quality, compassionate patient care. The candidate should have experience monitoring and assisting with surgical and anesthetic procedures. The candidate should be flexible, reliable and willing to grow and develop our organization.

Veterinary Technician

The York County SPCA is seeking a part time veterinary technician for work in our high volume spay/neuter Surgical Center and our shelter’s veterinary wing. Candidates for this position must have experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must also be self-motivated, a team player, and able to multi-task with limited supervision. Some weekend work may be required.
